Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 1, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Muchcane (“Muchcane,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit muchcane.site, use our shared inbox and ticket management services, or otherwise interact with us. By using our websites or services, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use our websites or services.

2. Scope and roles

This policy applies to personal information we process as a controller for our own operations — for example marketing site visitors, sales prospects, job applicants, and account administrators. When customers use Muchcane to process support tickets and end-customer data, we typically act as a processor on behalf of that customer. In those cases the customer’s privacy policy and instructions govern, and we process data under our agreement with the customer. If you are an end customer of a business using Muchcane, contact that business about your personal information.

3. Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories:

Account and contact information. Name, work email, phone number, company name, job title, billing address, and details you provide when requesting information, creating an account, or contacting hello@muchcane.site, privacy@muchcane.site, legal@muchcane.site, or careers@muchcane.site.

Service data. Content and metadata customers and agents submit to the platform, including tickets, messages, attachments, assignment records, SLA settings, macros, survey responses, integration settings, and audit logs. This may include personal information about customers’ end users.

Usage and device data. IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, and diagnostic logs used for security, debugging, and product improvement.

Payment information. Payment card or bank details are processed by our payment processors. We receive limited billing metadata such as last four digits, card brand, and transaction status where the processor allows.

Applicant information. Resumes, cover letters, and related materials submitted for open roles. We do not require sensitive personal information through our marketing site; please avoid sending special-category data unless strictly necessary and permitted by law.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Muchcane platform; create and manage accounts; process transactions and subscriptions; respond to inquiries and deliver service communications; send product updates and, where permitted, marketing messages (you may opt out); monitor security and prevent fraud; analyze usage to improve reliability; comply with legal obligations; and evaluate job applications. We process information based on contract performance, legitimate interests (such as securing and improving our services), consent where required, and legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that host infrastructure, deliver email, process payments, provide analytics, or monitor security under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations; integration partners when a customer connects third-party tools to a workspace; professional advisors such as lawyers and auditors; authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety; and parties to a merger, acquisition, or asset sale with appropriate protections. Customers control agent and integration access within their workspace. We do not use customer ticket content to build unrelated advertising profiles.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Our websites and application may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit authentication and other functionality.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information as long as needed to provide the services, fulfill the purposes in this policy, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Account information is generally kept for the customer relationship plus a reasonable period afterward. Service data is retained according to customer settings and our agreement, then deleted or de-identified. Backups may persist for a limited period after deletion for disaster recovery.

8. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including access controls, encryption in transit, logging, and employee training. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use strong unique passwords, protect API keys, and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.

9. International transfers

If you access our services from another region, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the regions where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise rights regarding information we control, contact privacy@muchcane.site. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request. If your request relates to data processed on behalf of a customer, we will direct you to that customer or assist them as appropriate. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages; transactional messages may still be sent as needed to operate your account.

11. Children’s privacy and third-party links

Muchcane is designed for business use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact privacy@muchcane.site. Our websites may link to third-party sites; we are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date above. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy except where applicable law requires otherwise.
